Who operates LaunchThrone

LaunchThrone, available at launchthrone.com, is operated by Alessandro Tafa, an individual at Via Luosi 175, 41124 Modena, Italy. In these terms, “we” means the operator and “you” means the person using the service. Contact us at launchthrone.support@gmail.com.

These terms set out the rules for accounts, submitted projects and comparisons. Review them before accepting the account terms or submitting a project. If you cannot agree, do not create an account or use the account features. The Privacy Policy separately explains how personal data is handled; optional marketing is a separate choice.

Eligibility and accounts

The minimum age for using LaunchThrone is 13. You must also satisfy any higher age or other eligibility requirement applicable where you live. If you are a minor and permission or involvement from a parent or legal guardian is required by applicable law, obtain it before using the service.

Provide accurate account information, keep your sign-in credentials secure and notify us if you suspect unauthorized access. Do not impersonate another person or create accounts to evade restrictions or manipulate the service. If you act for a business, team or project owner, you must have permission to do so.

An account can submit projects and judge other projects. Some actions require verified sign-in and acceptance of the current account terms. Signing in through Google does not replace that acceptance.

Projects and the three stages

LaunchThrone compares projects within three separate stages: Idea, Building and Live. Select the stage that accurately reflects your project and keep its information current.

Idea: a concept that has not yet been built. Describe the idea, the problem and the proposed solution. A website, logo, images and video are optional.

Building: a project in development. Provide its development stage and a genuine mockup, screenshot or other required visual. A public website is optional.

Live: a publicly usable project. Provide a reachable public project URL and the required project details and screenshot. Website reachability can be checked again before publication.

You are responsible for the accuracy of your claims and for having the rights to the names, descriptions, links and media you submit. Do not submit confidential material, personal information without an appropriate basis, or material you are not entitled to publish. A publicly submitted project and its supplied material can be viewed by others.

Your content and our permission to use it

You retain ownership of your project and your submitted content. Submitting it does not transfer your idea, project or intellectual property to LaunchThrone.

You give us permission to store, reproduce, resize and display the content as reasonably needed to provide the listing, comparisons, feedback, moderation and related project history. This permission is non-exclusive and does not require royalties. We may use service providers to perform those operations for us. We do not claim a general right to sell your project or reuse confidential ideas for unrelated purposes.

The LaunchThrone brand, interface and original service materials remain the property of their respective owners. Access to the service does not transfer those rights. You may use normal sharing and linking features without suggesting an endorsement or affiliation that does not exist.

Comparisons, feedback and rankings

Comparisons match projects at the same stage. The comparison format hides the project name and logo until a choice is made; submitted descriptions and media remain part of the comparison. Each counted vote selects one of the two projects.

Feedback is optional. Selected reason tags and a sufficiently detailed comment can affect the displayed vote weight and ranking contribution under the published ranking rules. Do not fabricate experience, coordinate votes, buy or exchange votes, automate judging, or use additional accounts to influence a result. Owners and team members cannot rank their own projects.

Rankings reflect eligible preferences recorded through LaunchThrone. They are not objective measures of project quality, professional advice, investment recommendations or endorsements. We may exclude duplicate, ineligible or suspicious activity and correct affected results. No payment buys a better ranking, qualification, exposure allocation or Spotlight placement.

Comparison availability depends on eligible projects and judges. Publication does not guarantee a particular number of comparisons, feedback responses, visitors, customers or sales.

Drafts, media and publication

Saved private drafts are not public listings. Draft text and media may be saved as you edit, but an interrupted upload, unavailable network or browser storage failure can delay saving. Check the editor's save and upload status before closing it and keep your own copies of original media.

Ordinary unpaid drafts expire 30 days after creation. Editing does not restart this period. An eligible Founding participant who has already used their Founding publication may receive extended retention for one qualifying follow-up draft, until one year after that draft's original creation. The deadline shown in the workspace identifies the applicable period. Expired private draft content and eligible uploaded media are removed through scheduled cleanup; this draft-expiry rule does not delete an already published project.

You can publish an eligible project immediately or select an available future date and time. Schedules must remain valid when publication is confirmed. Published access remains subject to these terms, moderation, your deletion choices and the continued availability of the service; it does not guarantee uninterrupted operation forever.

Founding access and current payment status

During the current Founding offer, up to 120 eligible projects can obtain free permanent publication, with 40 places for each stage. The offer is limited to one eligible project per verified account while places remain. Availability and eligibility are checked when access is activated.

Activated Founding publication has no card requirement, payment or renewal. It is tied to the eligible project and cannot be transferred as a separate entitlement. Completing a draft alone does not activate publication.

Paid publication and subscriptions are currently disabled. The planned price for permanent publication is €5.99 once per project, with no subscription or automatic renewal for publication. This is a future offer, not a currently available purchase. No charge is authorized by accepting these account terms. Before any future order, its price, scope, payment provider and applicable purchase terms will be presented. Polar is the intended merchant-of-record provider for future enabled purchases.

Activated publication stays with one project. Its public page, editing, versions and eligibility for comparisons and rankings remain available without a monthly renewal or subscription-based expiry, subject to the site rules and the continued availability of the service. A separate optional Pro subscription does not change publication access or ranking scores. Activated free Founding publication keeps its existing permanent conditions.

Refunds

For an eligible purchase, you may request a refund through launchthrone.support@gmail.com with the order reference. An approved refund removes the related purchased access immediately upon confirmation. Provider processing and bank posting times may differ; a request alone is not a completed refund. Mandatory consumer rights remain unaffected. Earlier purchases retain their recorded terms.

Acceptable use and moderation

Do not upload unlawful, infringing, deceptive, abusive or malicious content; impersonate another person; threaten or harass users; collect private information without permission; send unsolicited messages; compromise accounts; bypass access controls; or interfere with the service. Do not submit fabricated health claims, scams, phishing pages or malware. Legitimate critical feedback is allowed; manipulation and harassment are not.

We may review, restrict, remove or suspend content or account features where reasonably necessary to address a breach, security issue, ownership dispute or legal obligation. To report a problem or request a review of a decision, contact support with the relevant project URL and an explanation. Do not send passwords, authentication tokens or payment-card details.

We may reject, suspend or remove a project or account if it violates these Terms or the Acceptable Use Policy. No refund is due when we remove a project for a violation. In serious cases we act without notice; otherwise we email you the reason, and you can reply to support within 14 days to contest it. Nothing in this clause limits any mandatory consumer rights you may have under applicable law.

Deleting projects or closing an account

The project owner can request deletion of drafts and published projects through the workspace confirmation flow. The confirmation describes the consequences. Deleting a project removes its public and workspace access and stops unfinished participation; it cannot be undone through the editor. Completed votes, historical competitive records and records needed for security, consent or financial obligations may remain. Removing a project does not erase other projects' legitimate historical results.

Account deletion is a separate process requiring verification and confirmation. Follow the account settings instructions regarding project ownership, transfers or archival. Personal-data requests can also be sent to support and are handled as described in the Privacy Policy and applicable law. Deletion is not an automatic refund or a cancellation of any separate future purchase arrangement.

External sites and service availability

Project websites, external videos and other third-party links are operated by their respective providers. Opening a link does not mean LaunchThrone endorses the linked project or controls its availability, claims or privacy practices. Review the relevant provider's own terms before using it.

We work to keep LaunchThrone available and its information accurate, but interruptions, errors and maintenance can occur. Features may change as the service develops. Nothing in these terms excludes responsibility that cannot lawfully be excluded or restricts mandatory consumer rights.

Changes and disputes

We may update these terms as the service or its rules change and will display an updated publication date. Where the account flow requests renewed acceptance, you must review and accept the current version before continuing the affected actions. Earlier acceptance records remain associated with the wording accepted at that time.

Italian law governs these terms, subject to any mandatory protections applicable to you as a consumer in your country of residence. These terms do not impose mandatory arbitration or remove access to a court that applicable law entitles you to use. Please contact support first so that we can try to resolve a concern.
