This working notice explains the data needed to operate accounts, saved drafts, Founding reservations, Arena Passes, optional Insights and privacy-safe measurement.

Account data includes email, display name, authentication identities and notification preferences. Submission data includes project details, ownership evidence and moderation history.
When checkout is enabled, Lemon Squeezy supplies order, customer, tax, receipt and refund data for Arena Passes, Launch Insights and their bundle. LaunchThrone never stores full card numbers. Version-specific delivery, recovery and consent records are kept separately from ranking.
Traffic measurement
We record matchup reservations and decisions, product page views and outbound clicks. We may derive short-lived HMAC hashes from network and session signals for rate limiting, duplicate resistance and estimated unique visitors.
Raw IP addresses are not intentionally stored by the application. Referrer values are reduced to a safe surface label rather than full URLs or query strings.
Purpose and legal basis
Data supports account security, ownership verification, fair matchmaking, optional purchase accounting, analytics, abuse prevention, moderation, support and legal obligations.
Optional product updates require preference choice and can be disabled independently from essential operational mail.
Retention and sharing
Raw tracking dimensions are deleted after the configured retention period; non-identifying aggregates and required order audit records may be retained longer. Supabase, Lemon Squeezy, Resend and infrastructure providers process data under their own agreements.
We do not sell personal data. Public launch and ranking information is intentionally visible; private billing, ownership evidence and judge identity are not.
Your choices
You may request access, correction, deletion or restriction subject to retained accounting and abuse-prevention duties. Email preferences are available in the dashboard.
Account deletion requires fresh email verification and a separate final confirmation. Public personal information is removed and account access is disabled; completed votes, competitive results and required financial records are preserved. Owned projects must be transferred first or explicitly archived, with active entries finishing before archival.
Contact the support address for privacy requests. A final notice must identify the legal entity, jurisdiction, contact and applicable rights before launch.
